Saving money on electrical bills is a growing issue.  Faced with costs going into the heavens and the colder weather on its way here are some top tips to keep your costs down.

💡 Fit a motion detector in rooms like WCs and  home offices.  This will mean the lights are only on when the room is in use and are not accidentally left on after.

💡Change your bulbs to LEDs.  Modern LED lamps use a fraction of the electricity that older incandescent types do.  If you have lots of down lights the saving is even greater.

💡Fit timers to outside lights and porch lights.  No need to be burning lamps at 3am unless you are expecting visitors.

💡Install intelligent heating controls and TRVs.  This optimises the heating in your home.

💡Consider installing an “All Off” light switch by your front door.  This way no lights get left on when you leave the house.

💡Be security smart.  If you turn all your main lights off when your out then a simple plug in timer can turn on a floor lamp for security without having to leave lots of other lights on.

💡Get your electrics checked by a qualified electrician.  Poor circuit design leads to a multitude of problems including wasted energy.

If you would like your home checked by an experienced electrician call Quantum today.  We can visit your property and provide a bespoke plan on how to optimise your electrics to suit your life and pocket.
